As a responsible doodle owner, providing your fluffy friend with engaging toys and healthy treats is essential for their well-being. Here are some fun DIY ideas that you can even let your kids take charge for toys and treats that will keep your doodle entertained and happy!


Easy DIY Toys for doodles


**1. T-Shirt Rope Toy**


Materials Needed:

- Old T-shirts (preferably cotton)

- Scissors


Instructions:

1. Cut the T-shirts into long strips, about 1-2 inches wide.

2. Take three strips and tie a knot at one end to hold them together.

3. Braid the strips together tightly, making sure to keep the tension even.

4. Once you reach the end, tie another knot to secure it.

5. Trim any excess fabric, and you have a durable and soft rope toy for your Goldendoodle!


**2. Tennis Ball Treat Dispenser**


Materials Needed:

- Tennis ball

- Knife (for adult use only)

- Dog treats


Instructions:

1. Carefully cut a slit in the tennis ball, large enough to fit small dog treats.

2. Fill the ball with your Goldendoodle's favorite treats.

3. Toss it on the floor and watch your pup figure out how to get the treats out!

4. Supervise playtime to ensure your dog doesn’t chew through the ball.


**3. Sock and Ball Toy**

- A clean sock

- A tennis ball or squeaky toy

DIY TREATS FOR DOODLES


**1. Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Dog Treats**


Ingredients:

- 1 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)

- 1/2 cup peanut butter (make sure it’s xylitol-free)

- 2 cups whole wheat flour

- 1/4 cup oats

- 1 egg


Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, peanut butter, and egg until smooth.

3. Gradually add the whole wheat flour and oats, mixing until a dough forms.

4. Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick and use cookie cutters to shape treats.

5. Place the treats on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

7. Let them cool completely before serving to your Goldendoodle.


**2. Sweet Potato Chews**


Ingredients:

- 1 large sweet potato


Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).

2. Wash and peel the sweet potato, then slice it into 1/4-inch thick rounds.

3. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

4. Bake for 2-3 hours, flipping halfway through, until the slices are dried and chewy.

5. Allow them to cool before giving them to your dog.


**3. Apple and Carrot Dog Biscuits**


Ingredients:

- 1 cup whole wheat flour

- 1/2 cup grated carrot

- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

- 1/4 cup water

- 1 egg


Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a bowl, mix the flour, grated carrot, applesauce, water, and egg until combined.

3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into shapes with cookie cutters.
